Microsoft Corp. today released the seventh volume of the  (SIRv7), which indicates that worm infections in the enterprise rose by nearly 100 percent during the first half of 2009 over the preceding six months. Rogue security software remains a major threat to customers; however, 20 percent fewer customers were affected by rogue infections during the past six months.

Online pharmacy verification service LegitScript and Internet compliance company KnujOn released a report last week analyzing Microsoft-sponsored search results on bing.com for Internet pharmacies, showing that some sold counterfeit drugs and many did not require a prescription. Microsoft subsequently said they conducted a manual sweep to clean up the problem. Days after that, the researchers again purchased more addictive prescription drugs without a prescription from a bing.com ad.

Microsoft Office Web Components. An attacker who successfully exploited
this vulnerability could gain the same user rights as the local user.
When using Internet Explorer, code execution is remote and may not
