Trend Micro Incorporated, a global leader in Internet content security, announced that Trend Micro Enterprise Security for Endpoints was awarded five out of five stars overall and received SC Magazine's Best Buy award in their lab's Endpoint UTM group test.

According to the review, Trend Micro Enterprise Security for Endpoints is "easy to implement, easy to use and provides a very strong set of protection features for endpoints."  The product received five stars in every single category reviewed: ease of use, performance, documentation, support and value for money.

"Endpoints can face over 2,000 new and unique malware attacks per hour and frequent pattern file updates can't keep up with this volume of attacks," said Dan Glessner, VP, Enterprise Marketing, Trend Micro. "Trend Micro Enterprise Security for Endpoints uses innovative in-the-cloud protection from the Trend Micro™ Smart Protection Network™ infrastructure, providing enterprises immediate protection with less complexity.  It provides a complete endpoint security suite to protect all types of endpoints."

Trend Micro Enterprise Security for Endpoints protects company desktops, laptops, servers, and smartphones—on and off the network—with an innovative blend of world-class anti-malware and in-the-cloud protection from the Smart Protection Network. File Reputation frees endpoint resources by moving pattern files into the cloud. And Web Reputation blocks access to malicious websites.

A flexible plug-in architecture, device control, hosted intrusion prevention functionality, virtualization, and extended platform support all help lower management costs and increase flexibility and deliver industry-best protection from today's threats.

The Endpoint UTM group test is in the July 2010 edition of SC Magazine (US version). It is also available online
