A firewall system for mobile phones has been launched by anti-virus company F-Secure. The system, called F-Secure Mobile Security is for devices based on Symbian S60 3rd Edition and Symbian OS v9.
The firewall guards against mobile malware threats and intrusion attempts. The F-Secure Mobile Security system uses a pre-defined firewall which regulates incoming and outgoing traffic for automatic protection.
F-Secure Mobile Security will be available for around £25. It can be purchased from the F-Secure website and F-Secure dealers. A trial version of the system will be made available by Nokia. Phones using S60 include the Nokia N90, N73, Samsung Z600 and the LG Joy. |
