Learning Tree International announced the addition of a new 4-day course to its hands-on IT security curriculum. Entitled Windows Server 2008 Security Infrastructure: Hands-On, the course offers attendees the opportunity to gain practical experience in designing and implementing a secure network infrastructure through intensive exercises led by an expert instructor.

Participants also receive instruction in:

  • Applying Windows Server 2008 features to secure their infrastructure
  • Deploying a Windows-based Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) as a foundation for security services
  • Enhancing access controls with policy-based multifactor authentication
  • Building a scalable encryption solution that assures recovery of protected data
  • Installing and configuring Network Access Protection (NAP) to exclude unhealthy computers
"IT security professionals who take this course will become acquainted first-hand with the technologies Windows Server 2008 offers for decreasing network risk and improving policy compliance within their organizations," said Jennifer Urick, Vice President of Product Development for Learning Tree International.

Windows Server 2008 Security Infrastructure: Hands-On is valuable for anyone who designs, implements or supports network security in a Windows Server 2008 environment, including system administrators responsible for network security; system administrators who deploy, configure and maintain key infrastructure servers; system administrators who design and implement security-related Group Policies; information security personnel, information system security analysts and auditors who certify and accredit information systems; key managers needing an in-depth understanding of available enterprise security technologies.
