Web Security : New iPhone 3G Web Security Application

Web Security

GoTrusted.com launched a new web-based application that streamlines the process of adding WiFi data security to any Apple iPhone or iTouch device.  The new web app allows users to access or create a subscription to GoTrusted's Internet security service. GoTrusted's service secures Wi-Fi and Edge-based Internet connections by encrypting all local network traffic and protects users from several vulnerabilities.

A GoTrusted subscription gives users access to the iPhone/iTouch service as well as access to the desktop version which protects your PC all for just $5.99 a month. An Apple Mac version of the GoTrusted service is in the works.

GoTrusted's new web app coincides with the release of Apple's highly anticipated 3G iPhone. "As the popularity of the Apple iPhone and iTouch has grown, more and more communications are going mobile. Public WiFi use is at a record high and many users don't realize how vulnerable their data is to being intercepted," said Mike Boudet, VP of Marketing for GoTrusted.

"Now iPhone and iTouch users can sign up for a great service that protects and encrypts their data. They can sign up anywhere, in airports, hotels, coffee shops, directly through their device."

The GoTrusted web app is available at http://www.gotrusted.com/iphone and will also be made available through the Apple Web App Directory. Current GoTrusted users can use the web app to look up instructions on how to configure their device.

About GoTrusted

GoTrusted's goal is to provide easy-to-use and accessible encryption methods to the general public. We fill the need for privacy, security and availability to end-users who connect to the Internet by using a third-party's wireless "hotspot" (such as airports and cafes) or wired connection (such as hotels).

GoTrusted does this without encumbering the customer with the complexities of the back-end database, authentication, networking and encryption infrastructure. GoTrusted uses high-speed, physically secure and HIPAA compliant site connections to the Internet to terminate our secure tunnels.
