Adware - Spyware : Zonealarm Anti-Spyware Free For 24-Hours

Adware - Spyware

Check Point® Software Technologies Ltd.  announced a special 24-hour promotion whereby consumers can download ZoneAlarm Anti-Spyware, a $29.95 value, for free at www.zonealarm.com/patchtuesday.

For the next 24-hours, Check Point will give away ZoneAlarm Anti-Spyware free of charge. Users must provide a valid email address (one product per email address). The offer expires at 5 p.m. PST on Wednesday, Nov. 14. The company also is currently offering a free download of its brand-new ZoneAlarm ForceField virtual browser, another layer of protection available to consumers.

"Browser and operating system vulnerabilities reinforce the need for consumers to continue proactively managing their online security," said Laura Yecies, vice president and general manager of Check Point's ZoneAlarm consumer division. "In addition to keeping their systems up-to-date with the latest security patches, it also remains crucial for consumer to utilize security software that offers multiple layers of protection against both known and unknown threats."

These vulnerabilities also illustrate the need for any security suite to have a powerful self-protection mechanism, like all ZoneAlarm firewall-based solutions. By passing "leak tests," Internet security suites prove they can withstand a direct attack by hackers trying to hijack the software for nefarious purposes. ZoneAlarm offers some of the industry's strongest leak test protection, meaning that even if a PC is infected, downloaded malware cannot escape the software's defenses.

The reason behind this action:
Every month, Microsoft® offers users patches to update Windows and Internet Explorer to help protect them against newly-discovered product vulnerabilities. But as soon as Microsoft makes their announcement, hackers are already finding ways to exploit users who may not download the patches immediately.

The security experts behind ZoneAlarm urge you to always patch your operating systems and browsers whenever an update is available. More importantly, take extra precautions to protect your PC for those times when a patch may not be available. That's why we are offering you ZoneAlarm Anti-Spyware for FREE today, Patch Tuesday, only. Don't miss out on this incredible opportunity to protect your PC and stay safe online!
